MTN Confirm Prize Money For MTN8 Cup Winners

MTN have confirmed that the winners of the MTN8 cup will receive a massive R8 million.

 

Last season’s top eight will take part in this year’s tournament, with last year’s winners Mamelodi Sundowns facing SuperSport United on Sunday.

The quarter-finals kick off with a clash between Cape Town City and AmaZulu at 15:00 on Saturday, while Royal AM host Orlando Pirates later that day.

On Sunday, Stellenbosch host Kaizer Chiefs before the defending champions will be in action.

On Monday, MTN confirmed the winner will once against R8 million in prize money, while a lucky fan can also win a life-changing R1 million.

“Now in its 15th year, the MTN8 tournament pits the top eight teams from the previous DStv Premiership against each other to determine the champions that will walk away with the R8 million prize and the coveted MTN8 trophy,” MTN said via a statement.

“MTN customers, football fans and communities remain an integral part of the campaign and tournament with the share of R8 million in prizes that is up for grabs through the recharge and win competition that will be active for the duration of the tournament.
