Mosiatlhaga Makes DStv Premiership Switch

Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of Cape Town Spurs forward Abednego Mosiatlhaga, iDiski Times has learnt.

The 27-year-old has long been tipped for a move to the top-flight after several impressive seasons in the GladAfrica Championship with Cape Town All Stars, Stellenbosch and Ajax Cape Town – before they rebranded to Spurs two seasons ago.

He helped Stellies win promotion before winning the Golden Boot award in the 2020/21 campaign with the Urban Warriors but has seen a couple of deals to the top-flight fall through over the past 12 months.

This website can confirm that Babina Noko have now snapped him up on a permanent deal upon the expiry of his contract with the Cape Town-based outfit.

He joins Denwin Farmer as the second signing at the club ahead of next season while they have also opened talks with former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, although no agreement has been reached yet.

Sekhukhune are also expected to release a host of players next week as they look to rebuild their squad under a new head coach, which is believed to be Kaitano Tembo.
