Matshidiso Matilda’s husband deactivates social media accounts after alleged Limpopo Boy video leak
Kevin Shai, the husband of Johannesburg influencer Matshidiso Matilda, has reportedly deactivated his social media accounts following the circulation of an alleged intimate video involving his wife and South African dancer Limpopo Boy.
Shai and Matshidiso married in 2025, with Matshidiso publicly referring to him as her husband in her social media posts.
His apparent withdrawal from social media comes as the alleged private footage continues to circulate online, sparking widespread speculation about the couple’s marriage and the circumstances surrounding the video.
Reports on Monday, 10 August, indicated that Shai’s Facebook account was no longer active as the controversy gained momentum. His apparent deactivation has since become a major talking point among social media users following the leak.
The video, which began circulating on Sunday, 9 August, allegedly shows Matshidiso in an intimate moment with Limpopo Boy. The identities of those appearing in the footage have been widely discussed online, although the circumstances surrounding its release remain unclear.
Limpopo Boy’s management has described the material as stolen content that was distributed without consent, calling the incident a serious privacy violation and a criminal matter. The team said legal and cybersecurity measures were being pursued to have the material removed.
Meanwhile, social media users have continued to debate Shai’s apparent disappearance from the platforms, with some expressing sympathy for him while others have speculated about the state of his marriage.
Fake accounts purporting to belong to Shai have also reportedly emerged amid the attention.
The alleged video remains the subject of intense online discussion, while efforts to contain its circulation continue.
