Maritzburg United are said to be keen on luring DC Motema Pembe playmaker Karim Kimvuidi to the DStv Premiership next season.
Kimvuidi, 20, has emerged as one of the most promising players in the Linafoot and starred for the Democratic Republic of Congo at youth level and featured at the 2021 African Nations Championship in Ivory Coast where they reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
While he’s been linked with several clubs across the continent, iDiski Times has learnt that he’s closing in on a move to Maritzburg, having trained with the club for a short period last month.
After impressing the Team of Choice technical team, it’s believed the player and club reached a mutual agreement that should the club retain their top-flight status, he would join them for the 2022/23 campaign.
While interest still lingers in his services, it appears the player is ready to commit to Ernst Middendorp’s side which is still in transition after losing several key players over the past two campaigns.
