The viewers of Uthando Nes’thembu were pleasantly surprised to see how supportive and neutral Mbali MaNgwabe remained after her polygamous husband, Musa Mseleku, tried to portray her sister-wife, Thobile MaKhumalo, negatively.
MBALI MANGWABE: A TRUE SISTER & FRIEND
At the request of Musa, his fourth wife MaNgwabe finally met with wife number three, MaKhumalo, to facilitate a mediation between the two during an episode that aired on Thursday, 19 February.
Throughout the conversation, MaNgwabe was non-judgmental and listened attentively to her sister-wife and friend, MaKhumalo, as she shared her side of the story. The viewers loved seeing their friendship and sisterhood manifest in this scene.
THE ISSUES BEHIND MAKHUMALO AND MUSA’S FUED
Musa’s biggest challenge is how the arrangements for his daughter Mpilo’s welcoming ceremony are being delayed due to the ongoing feud with MaKhumalo (she’s Mpilo’s stepmother).
Another issue that needs resolution is the car sponsorship situation. MaKhumalo is the brand ambassador for car dealership, Halfway, in Port Shepstone. She then negotiated with the company about the possibility of also sponsoring her sister-wives and husband with cars.
The deal went through; however, a war ensued after MaKhumalo learnt that Musa was also seeking to arrange a sponsored car for his incoming wife, Samke MaKhwela. MaKhumalo believed it was premature for her to receive the car because she hadn’t been formally welcomed into the Mseleku family.
FANS PRAISE MANGWABE’S CHARACTER
BEST FRIENDS ‘TILL THE WHEELS FALL OFF
This is not the first time that MaNgwabe has shown kindness and support towards MaKhumalo. In an episode that aired on Wednesday, 18 February, MaNgwabe was neutral when Musa was clearly on a mission to tarnish MaKhumalo’s reputation.
Another point of genuine sisterhood was when MaNgwabe was the only sister-wife present at MaKhumalo’s traditional wedding after the other sister-wives, MaCele and MaYeni, refused to attend.
