Mammila Slams ‘Pensioner’ Broos – iDiski Times

New Swallows FC technical advisor Morgan Mammila has slammed Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos after the disappointing 2-2 draw against Liberia in the African Cup Of Nations Qualifiers.

Broos’ side had a promising start into the game after Burnley FC striker Lyle Foster scored a penalty and quickly completed his brace eleven minutes later as he headed home Teboho Mokoena’s corner kick.

Things looked easy for Bafana and they went into the break leading 2-0 but the game slowly changed in the second half and the Lone Stars found a way back as Bafana missed several clear cut chances.

Right at the end of the game they scored the equaliser, which gave them an important point away from home. That dented South Africa chances of qualifying for the showpiece in ivory Coast next year.

Former Chippa United head coach Mammila, who has been a vocal critical of Broos, took his frustrations to social media.

“How on earth can we rely on pensioners to do a better job than young smart coaches,” Mammila wrote on Twitter.

“We testing poison with our as South Africans.

“I saw signs of failure in this coach and people thought I was crazy and clueless.”

Bafana Bafana will travel to Liberia, Monrovia for their return fixture of the AFCON qualifiers and a win would see them book their ticket, while anything leas will make it difficult.
