Makhadzi welcomed by Botswana Royals family and government ministers

Makhadzi received a royal welcome from the Royal Family of Botswana when she visited the country for the One Woman Show. The Matorokisi singer was invited by the family and was showered with gifts and blessings. She is currently in the Southern African country until her performance in Tlokweng. Such recognition is nothing slight, and not everyone receives such praise.

Some artists such as Zodwa Wabantu were not allowed to the country due to its strict entertainment laws.

Makhadzi’s upcoming show in Botswana

On the 26th of March 2022, the Kokovha singer will have a show at the Royal A Stadium. Out of all the money Makhadzi will make for her performance, she will give 10% of it to charities in Botswana of her choice.

Gifts and gratitude

Upon her arrival, The Limpopo born artist was treated like a global star. Many villagers came to see her, and she was seated along with important people. She was showered with words that reminded her of her greatness. Makhadzi also received gifts and shared words of gratitude. The dancer cum singer told them she was grateful for the recognition and that Botswana shows her more love than South Africa. Tears of joy flowed down her face as she received the gifts.

The ‘African Queen’ was dressed just like the locals and wore a blue shweshwe dress, a matching headscarf and a small blue blanket over her shoulders which acted like a shawl. OverView Radio was present, and they shared the events as they happened.

Mzansi’s reaction

Mzansi cheered Mzansi on for her upcoming show. Some of South Africa’s celebrities like  Boity Tulo, Celest Ntuli and Nomcebo Zikode congratulated the star. Her fans from Mzansi also showed her love on her Instagram comment section.
