Former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Sibusiso Mabiliso has secured himself a move to table toppers AmaZulu, where he’ll likely be unveiled this week.
The 23-year-old was released by Chiefs despite only joining the club ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
He made just six appearances for Amakhosi but is highly rated in the industry and secured himself a return to Usuthu, where stared under Benni McCarthy in 2020/21 campaign, helping the club to finish as runners-up.
Mabiliso was linked with several DStv Premierships sides, including SuperSport United and Cape Town City, but has returned to AmaZulu, as confirmed by the club’s Communication’s Manager.
“Mabiliso is here. I can safely say he is back,” Phumlani Dube told Victor Molefe on Ukhozi FM.

“We are still sorting out some things, but he is with the club.
“He is back home and might be unveiled on Friday as we will be launching our shop at Moses Mabhida Stadium.”
Last week, Usuthu coach Brandon Truter had admitted he “is a quality player and any coach would want a quality player at this moment”.
Mabiliso would become AmaZulu’s 11th signing of the current window.
