New Sekhukhune United striker Tshegofatso Mabasa says he’s coming to score goals and enjoy his football at the club.

Mabasa, 25, sealed a move to Babina Noko on a season-long loan from Orlando Pirates after falling down the pecking order at the Soweto giants.

The arrivals for Bienvenu Eva Nga, Evidence Makgopa and Kwame Peprah firmly the first-choice from the 2021/22 campaign left his opportunities limited and a temporary switch has now been struck.

And the former Bloemfontein Celtic striker who’s scored 18 goals in 65 games (24 starts) for Pirates in all competitions was unveiled among six new signings on Tuesday afternoon.

“It’s a great honour to be part of this growing club you know, coming here, what the supporters can expect from me is definitely dedication you know and scoring goals as well but most importantly for me to enjoy my football,” he told the club’s media department.

“I’m grateful for the chairman and the opportunity he’s given me and the welcoming I’ve received from the players and the technical team as well as the coaches you know.

“I’ve really enjoyed it so far and what the supporters can expect from us is this season is for us to turn our losses into draws and our draws into wins and achieve more going into the new season and finishing as high as possible in the league.”

Mabasa will be aiming to become the club’s leading marksman after they released Justin Shonga, Evans Rusike and Charlton Mashumba, all of whom failed to command a regular starting berth alongside Chibuike Ohizu.
