Lloyiso drops debut album

South African singer and songwriter Lloyiso has opened up about the deeper meaning behind his debut album, Never Thought I Could: The Album Part 1, describing it as both his purpose and mission as an artist.

The vocalist shared the message while announcing the project on social media, explaining that the album represents years of personal growth, transformation and healing.

“MY NAME IS LLOYISO and it’s my PURPOSE AND MY MISSION TO GIVE YOU ‘Never thought I could’ THE ALBUM PART 1,” he wrote.

According to the singer, creating the album pushed him through a powerful period of self-discovery.

He revealed that the process involved confronting difficult truths and evolving as both a person and a musician.

“In the process of making this album I found and lost versions of myself, I shed skin, I faced uncomfortable truths about the world that changed me forever and I found healing,” he shared.

Lloyiso added that the project goes beyond music, describing it as a movement that reflects different phases of his life and artistic journey.

“This is more than an album, it’s a movement, it’s a language, it’s proof of life in the present, past and future,” he said.

The singer also expressed gratitude to the collaborators who helped shape the project.

He credited producers and songwriters Paul Ephraim and Ethan Schneiderman for bringing the sound and vision of the album to life and helping craft each track.
