The late seasoned actress and comedienne Busisiwe Lurayi is topping the trends after her untimely death on Sunday. However, confirmed reports have it that she died after a short illness.

Well, in the wake of her untimely death, her family is yet to issue details about her memorial and funeral services. However, in the mix of things, it has been revealed that the actress is yet to make her debut on etvs drama series Scandal. Rumour mill has it that the actress will make her appearance on Scandal next week.

The bubbly actress is said to have stopped showing up on set after a brief illness. On Sunday, she was found dead in the room of her daughter. Upon the time of her death, she had already shooted several scenes of her character, and the showrunners are said to air them despite her death. Local entertainment commentator Phil Mphela revealed that:

“Busi Lurayi joined Scandal. The late actress was cast and had shot scenes for the etv soapie before her untimely demise,” read Mphela’s announcement. It continued to read, “[There’s] No word yet from production and channel on how they will move forward with the role.”

Apparently, according to her manager Brian Makau, the bubbly actress had secured two gigs in the wake of her exit from How To Ruin Christmas. In the series, she played the lead role of Tumi. However, in the mix of things, she dumped the series in the eleventh hour when she revealed that she wouldn’t be part of the new season. Unconfirmed reports have it that she switched the floor to Scandal after they offered her a better deal.

Makau, who also doubles as Eye Media Artists agency, recently celebrated two roles she had bagged but had no idea that could be their last conversation.

“She was like a sister. We bought flowers for each other all the time. There were moments I was upset with her, and moments where I was over the moon with her, and Thursday was one of those days, but she said she wasn’t feeling well,” Brian told Tshisa Live.
