Magesi FC coach Clinton Larsen has weighed in on Molefi Ntseki’s appointment at Kaizer Chiefs revealing why he believes he’s the right man for the job.

The duo are familiar with each other after working together at now defunct Bloemfontein Celtic back in 2010.

The former Bafana Bafana coach has been on people’s mouths and trending on social media after the Soweto giants announced on Wednesday 28 June that he will be the head coach ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season.

This is not the first time Larsen has backed his former collegue to succeed after appointment. The 52-year-old once backed Ntseki back in 2019 after he was appointed the national team coach.

However, his tenure at Bafana didn’t last and end well following his failure to qualify for 2021 AFCON finals after finishing third on Group C with 10 points. They were alongside Ghana, Sudan and Sao Tome and Principe.

CLINTON LARSEN’S OPINION ON MOLEFI NTSEKI’S APPOINTMENT AT KAIZER CHIEFS

“I believe that Ntseki is up for the task, let’s not shoot the man down even before he starts,” said Larsen on SNAWA.

“In a nutshell, I think Ntseki will bring a very fast attacking style of football at Chiefs.

“Ntseki will definitely create a great environment at Chiefs. His management style is something that has always stood out for me.

“I was not surprised that Chiefs appointed Ntseki as the head coach. He is an astute coach, who given the right support, he can surprise a lot of people.”

Ntseki has a lot to improve at Amakhosi. The most popular and supported club in South Africa has been without a trophy for the past seven years now.

Last season, the Glamour Boys were on a rough patch throughout the season. They finished fifth on the league table, missing out on the CAF football ahead of the upcoming season.
