Kelvin Momo’s One Man concert cancelled

Kelvin Momo saw his highly anticipated Durban performance come to an abrupt end after severe weather conditions forced organisers to cancel the event, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.

The One Man Concert, held at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 5 April 2026, was expected to be a major celebration of local music, drawing a large crowd eager to experience the amapiano star live.

However, the night took a dramatic turn when heavy rain and strong winds swept through the venue.

Witnesses say the downpour caused chaos, damaging infrastructure and forcing attendees to seek cover as conditions worsened.

With safety becoming a major concern, organisers were left with no option but to shut the event down.

Despite being the headline act, Kelvin Momo never got the chance to perform his set, even though he had already arrived at the venue.

The incident quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with some suggesting the DJ may have been relieved not to perform following recent criticism over missed gigs, while others defended him, noting that this time he showed up but was prevented from performing by circumstances beyond his control.

His management later issued an apology, acknowledging the disappointment and thanking fans for their understanding after the sudden cancellation.
