South African professional rugby player Siya Kolisi recently celebrated a major milestone as his organisation, the Kolisi Foundation, marked six years since its establishment.

Kolisi took to social media to celebrate the occasion and reflect on the journey of the foundation. The rugby star also expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported the organisation over the years. Siya shared the video on Saturday, 4 April 2026 after spending his Good Friday with his kids.

“Today marks the sixth birthday of the Kolisi Foundation. We are still here, we won’t stop and there’s a lot of work to be done. We will continue going forward. Thank you so much to all our founders, our partners and thank you our implementing partners on the ground. Thank you to the board and thank you to the Kolisi Foundation staff for all the work that you do. We are so grateful for the work that you’ve done,” he wrote.

Kolisi also thanked South Africans for supporting the foundation and acknowledged the communities that have worked closely with the organisation over the years.

SIYA THANKS SUPPORTERS AND PARTNERS

Kolisi also used the moment to thank South Africans who continue to support the foundation’s work. He expressed gratitude to the partners, staff members and organisations who help make the foundation’s projects possible.

The Springbok captain highlighted that the work of the foundation would not be possible without the dedication of its partners and the communities it serves. His message reflected appreciation for the people who continue to help the organisation grow and make a difference in the lives of many South Africans.

SIYA KOLISI FOUNDATION’S MISSION TO TACKLE INEQUALITY

The Kolisi Foundation was founded by Siya Kolisi and his ex-wife, Rachel Kolisi in April 2020. The organisation focuses on tackling inequality in South Africa and aims to create lasting change in vulnerable communities.

The foundation works in three main focus areas: food security, gender-based violence and education and sports development. Through partnerships and community-driven initiatives, the organisation aims to support individuals and families facing social and economic challenges.

Founded by Rachel and Siya Kolisi, the Kolisi Foundation was born out of a deep desire to use their platforms to drive meaningful change. After witnessing the challenges that many non-profit organisations face on the ground, the couple decided to approach philanthropy differently.
