Kaizer Chiefs will be without two key players for their DStv Premiership clash against Sekhukhune United in Polokwane at the weekend.
The Soweto giants will take on Babina Noko at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, 23 April 2023 with kickoff set for 3pm.
Amakhosi head coach Arthur Zwane will be without the services of two players for the upcoming league match due to suspensions.
THE TWO SUSPENDED TWO PLAYERS
The two suspended players are defender S’fiso Hlanti and midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe.
The pair received yellow cards in a Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash against Royal AM, and they will be out for one game.
Both players have been instrumental for the Glamour Boys’ upturn lately and Zwane will have to do the job on Sunday without their influence.
To prove that the two players have been important players to Chiefs and earned the trust of coach Zwane, Sithebe played a total number of 23 games across all competitions, whereas Hlanti has featured in 25 games.
Chiefs are in contention to qualify for continental football next season, and they cannot afford to drop points.
Currently, Zwane’s charges sit fourth place on the table with 41 points, just three points behind second-placed SuperSport United.
FIVE GAMES TO GO FOR KAIZER CHIEFS THIS SEASON
Chiefs have five league matches to play this campaign. And Zwane is confident that they will be able to grab the second spot.
In their last game against Royal AM over the weekend, Chiefs played without Dillan Solomons, who was ruled out due to health issues.
At this moment is not clear if Solomons will able to feature for Sunday’s game.
However, this is not something for Chiefs as they been hampered by injuries and other challenges season. Especially, in terms of leadership and experience.
With responsibility left to the young ones to lift the team and guide the team to the promised land.
In the absence of Hlanti and Sithebe, Zwane will see how he will be able to balance his squad. And see who can come in for the duo.
