Well-travelled striker Judas Moseamedi has started training with struggling DStv Premiership side Marumo Gallants.
FARPost spotted Moseamedi during the club’s training session in Polokwane, Limpopo on Wednesday morning.
The 28-year-old had previously been training at his former club Maritzburg United but nothing materialised.
He became a free agent after parting ways with Stellenbosch last year.
JUDAS MOSEAMEDI TO JOIN GALLANTS?
Indications are that the club are assessing the player before they can sign on the dotted line.
A move back to his home province could benefit the Gallants side, who have found the going tough this season in the league.
They have scored 11 goals in 17 games, which is the joint second-least number of goals in the league. They are tied with Maritzburg United, while TS Galaxy (8) have scored the least number of goals.
Gallants currently have Riyaaz Nell, Ranga Chivaviro and Letsie Koapeng as their main strikers.
U-TURN ON MOVE TO GAUTENG
It appears as if the club have put on hold its plans to relocate the club to Pretoria.
This publication reported late last year that the players had been advised to serve notices at their respective places of residence.
This was ahead of a move that could see the club train in Pretoria while playing their home matches at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in Rustenburg.
Gallants have already started hosting most of their matches at the 2010 World Cup precinct.
They are also set to host their DStv Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates at the venue instead of their first home ground of Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
There were also claims made by a group of supporters based in Mangaung that tej club will be relocating before the end of the season.
But that is highly unlikely to materialize as there is no confirmed deal with the supposed buyers.
