Intercape bus trapped in water on R30 in the Free State

Reports indicate that the passenger bus got trapped in a body of water on the R30 between Allanridge and Bothaville.

A spokesperson for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in the Free State, Sipho Towa, says the incident occurred on Saturday morning. He says 83 passengers have been rescued by emergency teams. No injuries have been reported.

On Friday morning, OFM was already receiving reports of flooding on the same R30 road between Branfort and Welkom.
