Soulful singer Berita took to Twitter to open up about her separation from Nota Baloyi. In her words, she couldn’t handle being married to the podcaster for his behaviour. Berita says Nota is entirely irresponsible. She went as far as describing the podcaster as reckless and very unruly. She couldn’t cope with such a husband.
According to the singer, she and Nota are separated. Their separation has been for quite a while, and Berita says she left their marital home in January this year. This came after Nota went on another rage on Twitter, speaking vile things about people. She is only finding the courage to be public about it now.
Berita wanted to clarify that she is no longer with this man; therefore, they shouldn’t be associated. She doesn’t want her brand to be aligned with an individual famous for bashing people.
Berita hints at abuse.
As Berita opened up about her separation, she hinted at some abuse she could’ve faced. She didn’t say she was assaulted, but she hinted at it in not so many words. One of the most disturbing things she said is she chose to be alive over being married. That statement alone signals her life was in danger during her marriage.
Berita took massive accountability and acknowledged her mistakes. One of them is missing the red flags. She says she missed a lot of red flags when she was dating Nota. She missed even more as she agreed to be his wife. Another thing she mentioned is the fact that Nota is mentally unstable.
Berita also accessed Nota of disgracing her in their home and when they were in public. The singer also mentioned Nota bullied her, but she didn’t make specifications; she hinted at various types of abuse.
Berita mentioned how much he means well in certain situations, but he needs help. She said how she reached out to his family about his obnoxious mindset and believes he needs psychological evaluation and assistance.
Berita says sorry to Mihlali
Nota took to Twitter to speak ill about the makeup artist, YouTuber and influencer Mihlali Ndamase. In the tweet, Nota described Mihlali as ‘ isichitho ‘. Isichitho is an evil curse. He says she is devious for letting young girls see her as a role model. Berita tagged Mihlali and apologized for Nota’s words about her.
She apologized to Mihlali in a very sisterly way. Berita also emphasized that no woman should go through such in private or public.
Quite frankly, Nota is notorious for saying uncouth things about people. When Cassper Nyovest made a McLaren purchase in December, Nota called him an influencer. He accused Mufasa of not afford to buy such a car. To our surprise, Cassper is still driving that car.
Nota faced online backlash not too long ago for making fun of Black Coffee’s disability. Mzansi told him he was out of line. Body shaming should be a thing of the past in our country.
At the end of the threat, Berita said she was very responsible. She wants no association with Nota and his verbal slurs.
