Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) took first place on the Hollywoodbets Super League log following their 3-0 win over MaIndies Ladies, while Royal AM’s new ladies team collected their first win since Shauwn ‘Mam’ Mkhize took over.
TUT now have 31 points in 14 matches and have opened a narrow gap between themselves and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, who are at the CAF Champions League zonal qualifiers in Durban with three games in hand.
MaIndies dropped out of the top three to number five on the table with 26 points from 14 games. JVW moved into third position with 26 points as they defeated University of Johannesburg (UJ) 3-2 in Soweto. This is UJ’s second loss on the trot since the return of the league and they find themselves in 10th place on the standings, with 20 points in 14 outings.
Elsewhere University of Western Cape (UWC) returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Golden Ladies in the mother city. The result sees Thinasonke Mbuli’s charges in fourth place with 26 points from 12 games while Golden Ladies remain second from bottom, with just three points in 14 games.
Meanwhile, Royal AM’s new ladies team – which is still known as Bloemfontein Celtic – have collected their first win of the season, beating Coal City Wizards 1-0.
