Newly signed Aris Limassol winger Mihlali Mayambela says he is not pressured about being overseen by national team coach Hugo Broos.

The 25-year-old who is yet to make his national debut, said he would honour the opportunity and play with pride whenever he is given the chance to represent his country.

“I’m not worried or under pressure by my exclusion at Bafana honestly, I’m focusing on my club football and helping my team achieve great things,” Mayambela told FARPost.

“If I get an opportunity and I’m called to represent my country, I will honour it and do my best. It’s every player’s dream to wear their country’s colours and play for the nation.”

A few months ago, his big brother Mark Mayambela urged him to stay focused and keep working hard as his Bafana Bafana chance would come.

“He has to keep focused on his game and maintain his good attitude. I believe that if he keeps improving, his [national team call up] chance will come, and he will be honoured to play.”
