A few months ago, Sokhulu Mthiyane played the thug role in Gomora as Brains. The big man was scared and roamed through the streets of Gomora, and no piece of information would pass him. He worked under Phumulani, who had played a saint role in the Mofele family. Phumulani won the heat of many of the family members, and they never imagined him being the gangster he was.

Brains formed a formidable partnership with Stombie that ruled the streets and scared every girl at Gomora High. It seemed that Sokhulu had found his best trade as he now joins The Queen in an almost similar role. He is now the second actor in a month to join The Queen from Gomora after June-July ‘Tiisetso Thoka’.

Sokhulu Mthiyane’s role as Basil on The Queen.

Basil joined The Queen as a high-profile thug who is a leader in his trade. It seemed that no one gets away with frauding Basil, as shown in his entrance episode. Basil came hunting Schumacher for the money that he had run away with. He threatened to kill Phumulani as he pointed a gun at his head before Schumacher begged for a little more time to get the money together.

Basil has managed to be a thorn in Schumacher’s back now that he knows where he stays and the people he stays with. After the encounter with Schumacher, Basil goes home to meet Sis Patty and Mjekejeke, saying that he is Schumacher’s uncle. The couple loved to meet Basi, whom they described as a mature adult filled with wisdom in his words.

Sokhulu Mthiyane was a fan favourite as Brains on Gomora.

Brains and Sdumo were the characters everyone would love to hate on Gomora. They played the role of the bad boys that troubled young girls in the streets, and crossing would mean trouble. They even became hated when they did Phumulani’s dirty work, a man who was equally hated.
