In Pictures: Gomora actors’ improved salaries revealed as the show prepares for Season 3
Mzansi Magic soap opera Gomora has been given the green light to produce Season 3 of the production.
Seriti Films, the Gomora show producers, have enjoyed increased viewership over the series, earning the green light to start Season 3.
Gomora has witnessed an increase in advertising and sponsorship revenue; it is alleged that its main sponsor Outsurance committed to increasing its budget on Gomora. The kick start of a new season has seen Gomora cast members signing improved salary deals, a move to fend potential suitors away.
The soapie brings down Season 2 curtains on Episode 260, set to air on Friday 22 April 2022. Season 2 final episode will be filled with drama setting the bar high for Season 3 premiere. Idolized Dlamini family cracks when Gladys finally divorced her husband Melusi for obvious reasons, his childhood lover Thathi. Gladys throws herself a divorce party, and Melusi, who has been on police trial, finally hands himself over.
Season 3 premieres with Gladys and her son Ntokozo learning about Melusi’s arrest. The Ndaba family cracks down, Thathi and Phumlani’s marriage seems over.

Katlego Danke
Lead actress Katlego Danke who plays the role of Thathi, has witnessed a change in fortunes on Gomora in Season 2 storyline. Thathi fell from grace in season 1 when her husband died, and she struggled with finances; when Phumlani arrived in Gomora, her fortunes changed. Phumlani gave Thathi the wedding of her dreams which was rated as the most glamourous wedding in the South African filming industry. Thathi is the highest earner on Gomora; she earns R95 000 per month in Season 3.
Sannah Mchunu
Actress Sannah plays the role of Zodwa on Gomora, and she is the highest beneficial of the new season salary increase. Sannah joined the Gomora cast with less filming experience nor qualifications, proved herself worthy and instantly became fans’ favourite and a household name.
Tipped to win big at the following local filming awards for her role as Zodwa on Gomora, Sannah’s newly found fame is not getting her way. She earned her improved contract in the region of R88 000 per month in Gomora season 3.
Buyile Mdladla
The net is closing for Phumlani Ndaba (Buyile Mdladla) in Gomora Season 3, revealing his shenanigans and true colours. An angel too good to be true arrived in Gomora as the late Mbongeni Ndaba’s young brother, Phumlani, splashed money on Thathi and sponsored violence. Phumlani concealed his intentions, but time sets to expose his hidden personality. Though he joined Gomora in Season 2, Phumlani will earn a stunning R65 000 per month in Season 3.
Notably improved contracts include Siphesihle Ndaba, Thulani Mtsweni, Nandipa Khubone and Siyasanga Papu.
