New reports say the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns forward Lesedi Kapinga will be spotted in an Orbit College FC jersey.

The move will mark the 30-year-old’s fourth club in the South African Premier League, having started at Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Black Leopards.

Having trained with Orbit College since leaving Sekhukhune United last month, the Musina-born star is reportedly joining the Rustenburg giants.

“They are concluding talks today. It’s almost done,” an Orbit insider told Soccer Laduma’s veteran reporter Tiyani Mabasa.

ORBIT COLLEGE IN A RELEGATION FIGHT

The 2024/25 PSL Promotion/Relegation winners’ first season in the top flight has been challenging. The Mswenko Boys enjoyed a promising start with wins over Siwelele FC, Richards Bay, and Magesi FC, including a 3–0 away victory against Golden Arrows in September.

Recent form has been tougher. January saw losses to Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United, followed by a 2–2 draw with Polokwane City on 31 January 2026. In cup competitions, their Carling Knockout run ended in extra time against TS Galaxy in October.

Now, Orbit have a chance to create confidence in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 against Golden Arrows on 7 February 2026.

Sitting 14th in the league, relegation survival is the priority.
