Newly promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side, La Masia have completed the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs development player Ayanda Rorwana.
La Masia, commonly known as MM Platinum, recently won ABC Motsepe League playoffs when they beat Magesi FC.
The Gauteng-based side will be making their debut in the South African second tier division, which was renamed from GladAfrica Championship to Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Rorwana will hope to revive his career after it started very well playing in Kaizer Chiefs development.
The 24-year-old was once touted as a future Amakhosi star, but struggled to make the predicted impact. He had brief loan spells at Swallows and Pretoria Callies, and while he gained experience at the clubs, his game time was limited.
He made just four sub appearances for Swallows in the 2019/2020 season, while at Callies he featured nine times in all competitions in the 2020/2021 campaign
But with that experience, La Masia will hope to benefit and keep their status in the Motsepe Foundation Championship or fight for promotion to the DStv Premiership.
