Former Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk has found himself on the scoresheet during a game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Veldwijk, 30, was selected among the best players to represent the Korean K League in an exhibition match against Premier League side Spurs.

The tall striker last featured for Bafana in 2019 at the African Cup of Nations but hasn’t been called up by Hugo Broos yet.

However, he’s netted 15 goals in the K League for Suwon last season, while his goal count this campaign stands at three.

Veldwijk was part of the K League Best XI to take on Spurs on Wednesday and scored the 2-2 in the 52nd minute. He came on as a substitute in the 32nd minute but got taken off again 10 minutes after his goal.

The Premier league side, though, was too strong for the K League stars and ended up winning the match 6-3 following braces by Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, plus a goal by Eric Dier and an own goal.
