Ex-Kaizer Chiefs shown door by new club, reunites with Ntseki

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly has cleared the air following his release from TS Galaxy.

The 32-year-old attacker left Amakhosi last year and has to sit out six months without a club. He joined the Rockets in the second half of the 2024/25 season, where he scored three goals.

Despite his good showing, Dolly was one of the many senior players released by the club. The former Kaizer Chiefs captain is currently with the Bafana Bafana squad for the CHAN tournament.

“I wanted to stay as well, but obviously a few… I won’t say problems, but decisions had to be made on a few senior players, and salaries and all of that, but I think the Chairman spoke about it,” he said.

“But for me personally, I don’t think it was worth it anymore to stay at the club and not get what you deserve, so I felt like it was time for me to move on and try and look for something better.

“Not only for me, I’m getting to the latter stages of my career, it’s also about my family at this point, where everyone is comfortable.

Dolly parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs last season

“So, I had to think long and hard about it, because to be fair, TS Galaxy was good to me, a good club that promoted many youngsters. But it was a decision I had to make for my future and my families future,” Dolly said.

Which team should Dolly join?
