Ex-Kaizer chiefs midfielder has parted ways with Amazulu

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Free state stars midfielder has parted ways with the KwaZulu-Natal based side Amazulu Football Club.

According to SoccerLaduma, Benni McCarthy’s side have decided to release Sphiwe Tshabalala after spending just a season at the club.



The 36-year old joined Usuthu with high expectations, however, his fitness had other ideas.

The player did not make that much impact at the club as expected, however, the club managed to secure a spot in the CAF Champions League.



AmaZulu Football Club will be participating in the CAF Champions League cup for the first time in their history.

The club parted ways with also Talent Chawapiwa, Samuel Dorph and other senior players. They however decided to keep Tsepo Masilela.



Few days ago, the club announced the signing of the former Kaizer Chiefs duo Keagan Buchanan and Philani Zulu.

It is still not clear whether Siphiwe Tshabalala will join the technical team, or he will be seeking for a new club.
