Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus has sent a message to the club’s fans after helping the Buccaneers to win the MTN8 trophy.
Erasmus has visibly lifted the Pirates attack since joining the club on Deadline Day, scoring once and setting up three more.
He wrote his name in the history books of the competition becoming one of the few players to lift the trophy back-to-back with different side after also claiming it with Mamelodi Sundowns last year.
“It was a great effort from the players today,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“We showed desire and hunger to want it more than the opposition.
“I think for the fans it shows what it means to win this cup. Winning something, anything with this club is a major achievement. And that’s part of the history.
“To contribute to that is an amazing feeling. I’m happy to be back here again and bring back the happy people again.
“Congratulations to the team, the players, the technical team and most of all the supporters. Enjoy it, it’s for you guys!”
