Orlando Pirates striker Kermit Erasmus says he isn’t really bothered about the stick he gets for his views on social media.
Erasmus returned to Orlando Pirates on deadline day last September and enjoyed a successful one with the side finishing second in the DStv Premiership and winning two trophies.
However, he has not been shy to put out his views on social media and sometimes gets ridiculed for it.
The 32-year-old told iDiski Times senior Writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 103 of the newspaper that he is aware that not everyone will like his opinions and that won’t stop him from expressing himself.
“Me, most of my tweets are my own thoughts, expressions of what I feel or think,” said Erasmus.
“And everybody has their own opinion and everybody thinks differently about things. A lot of my tweets are not on other people’s level of thinking.
“So I don’t really get into it when people debate about things like that – for me, it’s just to focus on the things that I want to get across and people that get it, get it and people that don’t, unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do about it”
