DStv Prem Log After 29 Games

There were big wins for SuperSport United and Maritzburg United on Saturday, as the DStv Premiership table is shaping up with just one match day remaining.

At the top of the table, Orlando Pirates dropped two points against Sekhukhune United, allowing SuperSport United to draw level with them in the race for CAF Champions League football.

Matsatsantsa did their home work and beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0, to level Pirates on 51 points ahead of the final match round.

Meanwhile, Cape Town City beat Richards Bay 2-0, thanks to a brace by Khanyisa Mayo, who moved onto 12 goals, equalling the tally of Peter Shalulile.

There was also drama at the bottom of the log, with Maritzburg United collecting a hard-fought 1-0 win over Stellenbosch to level Chippa United and Marumo Gallants on 29 points.

Despite Chippa losing 4-0 to TS Galaxy, Maritzburg remained behind the Chilli Boys on the log based on goal difference, with the Team of Choice having -16, while Chippa have -15 and Gallants sit on -5.
