Mihlali Mayambela has completed a move to Cyprus top-flight side Aris Limassol, iDiski Times has learnt.

The 25-year-old has spent most of his career in Europe playing for the likes of Coimbra of Portugal, Bnei Yehuda of Israel, and also played in Sweden. Mayambela recently played for SC Farense of Portugal where he saw his side getting relegated in the 2020/21 season after finishing 17th in the top flight.

The former Kaizer Chiefs youth development player made 33 appearances for Farense, finding the back of the net on four occasions, and also grabbed two assists in the season that has just passed. But the club just missed an opportunity to finish in the promotion playoffs after finishing fourth in the second tier.

iDiski Times has learnt that the younger brother of Mark Mayambela has successfully joined Aris Limassol on a two-year deal. This website can confirm that Aris has now snapped him up on a permanent deal upon the expiry of his contract with the Portuguese-based outfit.

Limassol finished fourth in the previous campaign, which hands them an opportunity to participate in the UEFA Conference League playoffs which will take place on 21 July 2022. The Cyprus giants will start at home where they will face Neftchi Baku of Azerbaijan.
