DJ Thuli Phongolo Warns Promoters That She is Not Accepting Gigs

South African actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo has revealed to her fans and promoters that she will not be taking bookings for now. She took to social media to caution her fans and promoters not to make any bookings after her booking platform was hacked.

Thuli Phongolo made it known that her booking platform had been hacked, and as a result, promoters should not engage her through her booking platform or pay any money through the channel since she has no access to it. “I am currently not accepting gigs until further notice. We are working on fixing this matter urgently. My apologies for any inconvenience,” DJ Thuli Phongolo warned promoters through Instagram after her booking platform was hacked.

She is not the first celebrity to have her booking channel hacked. Over the years, hackers and scammers have made a fortune posing as celebrity imposters.

However, in the wake of her newfound fame, she has had her fair share of drama that has often thrust her into top trends.

In 2022, her booking fee and riders leaked on social media, leaving many convinced she doesn’t come cheap. Back then, her one-hour set or engagement was priced at R20 000. The promoter was also accountable for her traveling expenses, a business class seat for the DJ and an economy seat for her manager. On top of that, transport to and from was at the promoter’s expense. Thuli Phongolo’s riders included two bottles of Moet Nectar, a Remy Martin VSOP, Hubbly, and all the mixers.
