Duduzane reportedly used to have stakes business in several other companies in the country, such as ArcelorMittal SA and other businesses owned by the Guptas.
In December 2021, TimesLIVE reported Duduzane had been elected chairperson of the African National Congress (ANC). It was reported that the position was one of many steps for Duduzane on his reported self-stated mission to become a future ANC president.
