The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has parted ways with national team head coach, Patrice Beaumelle.

This comes after the FIF decided not to renew Beaumelle’s expired contract.

After two years in charge of the side, the French mentor’s contract with two-time African champions expired.

Ever since taking over the coaching reigns in March 2020 for his second stint as a technical team member, he failed to reach the play-offs for the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers before crashing out of the recent Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16.

“The committee salutes [Beaumelle’s] human qualities, commitment, professionalism, humility and discretion,” read the FIF statement.

“While welcoming the open-mindedness of the French technician and the good collaboration with the FIF, the committee wishes him a happy continuation of his career.”
