Sekhukhuned United have decided to appoint Brandon Truter as their next coach, iDiski Times has learnt.
Truter was one of several candidates who were sounded out by the club’s management, and he impressed the club’s leadership during his recent interview.
Truter will replace Kaitano Tembo who was relieved of his duties last week after Sekhukhune ended the first half of the season before the FIFA World Cup break in 15th position.
Truter himself parted ways with AmaZulu after 19 games in charge and was subsequently replaced by Frenchman Romain Folz.
The club are yet to make the appointment official, but are expected to do so in the coming days.
“It’s a done deal,” iDiski Times was told by a source close to the club.
Sekhukhune are understood also have shortlisted Ernst Middendorp, Eric Tinkler, Dan Malesela and John Maduka but opted for Truter on what’s likely to be a short-term move until the end of the 2022/23 season.
