  • Tshwane Mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya has announced a Black Friday sale offering residents and businesses a 100% discount on municipal interest charges.
  • The promotion runs from 1 to 30 November 2025, giving ratepayers a chance to settle outstanding accounts and start the new year debt-free.
  • Payments can be made at municipal offices or via email to [email protected] or [email protected].

The City of Tshwane has announced that it is launching a Black Friday sale, during which residents can qualify for a 100% discount on interest charges.

Tshwane mayor Dr Nasiphi Moya made the announcement on X on Tuesday, 11 November.

“We are running a Black Friday Sale. Do you have outstanding municipal debt? If yes, then you could qualify for a 100% discount on interest charges,” Moya wrote.

Deputy Mayor Eugene Modise also urged residents to take advantage of the initiative,

“This isn’t just a promotion; it’s a golden opportunity to clear outstanding balances and start the new year on a clean slate,” he added.

  • Who qualifies: All Tshwane residents and businesses with outstanding municipal accounts.
  • What’s on offer: A 100% discount on all interest and penalty charges.
  • When to act: Municipal accounts must be settled between 1 and 30 November 2025 to qualify for the discount.
