The nearly 900 operations that were cancelled at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital, will be rebooked. The hospital’s CEO, Nkele Lesia, says over 24,000 surgical operations were performed at the hospital over the past four months.
She says the hundreds of operations that were cancelled over infrastructure issues this year is less than 5%.
“The 870 people that were deferred, some of them have been rebooked. The others, we’ll rebook them,” she said.
