Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung has addressed the club’s ongoing court case against the Premier Soccer League as well as the coaching situation.

Jessica Motaung was speaking during a special announcement at Naturena on Wednesday morning, when the club confirmed that she will be part of CAF’s Organising Committee for Women Football Standing Committee from 2022-2024.

The eldest daughter of Amakhosi chairman, Kaizer Motaung will bring her commercial and corporate expertise to the table for the newly formed committee and says she’s excited to be part of the role.

During the announcement, Jessica Motaung, who also is a board member for the Glamour Boys, was asked about the coaching situation, with Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard being confirmed as interim coaches until the end of the season, however, she insisted the club will assess the situation after the current campaign.

“We continue to apply our mind to the coaching situation, and well done to the team yesterday,” she said during the event at Naturena, which was attended by iDiski Times journalist Lorenz Kohler.

“We’ll finish the season off and obviously make the announcements in due course.”

In addition, Jessica Motaung was also asked about an update over the court case against the PSL after both December fixtures were played and lost by Amakhosi, but she insisted the court case will continue and that’s why she can’t give further details.

“In terms of the court case, the court case is happening but I can’t comment more because it’s subjudice.”

The case is scheduled to be heard at the Johannesburg High Court on 10 May.
