Zambia international playmaker Rally Bwalya has explained why his DStv Premiership move to AmaZulu from Simba SC is a ‘good achievement’ in his career.
The 27-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Usuthu who lured him away from the East African giants whilst he still had one-year remaining on his contract.
Known for his silky skills which earned him the nickname ‘Soft Touch’ in Tanzania, Bwalya represents a major signing for Usuthu as part of their squad rebuild.
He’s likely to fill the big void left by veteran Luvuyo Memela at the KZN outfit but he’s ready to impress and become an important part of head coach Brandon Truter’s squad.
“Joining AmaZulu is a good achievement for me because I’ve been watching the club for a long time, it’s a club that’s known – especially in my country Zambia where they love watching the PSL – so I think it’s a team not new to me,” Bwalya told the club’s media department.
“It’s a team that I know and a great club where I have to work hard and do my very best to help the club move forward, every player dreams of playing well, achieving goals in a given season, help the club and be recognised as a good player.”
Bwalya joins Ethan Brooks, Veluyeke Zulu, Augustine Kwem, Riaan Hanamub, Dumisani Zuma, Thendo Mukumela and Gabadinho Mhango as President Sandile Zungu delivered on his promise to drop down the average age of the squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.
