Advocate Malesela Teffo has withdrawn as legal counsel for accused 1-4 in the Senzo Meyiwa trial. He claims that his decision was based on harassment by the State, the court and police.

Teffo says he was prevented from being part of this trial because he is and labelled as a problematic advocate, and that his arrest on 28 April 2022 was part of the plan hatched to remove him from representing the accused.
