Ntseki, however, could be faced with a big potential headache even before he takes charges of his Chiefs side, because they are thought to be facing a legal battle for one of their signings ahead of the new season. As it stands they have already confirmed the capture of former SuperSport United and Botswana international centre back Thathayoane Dithlokwe. Set to follow him to Naturena are fellow centre back Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdanstane, Edson Castillo, Pule Mmodi as well as Ranga Chivaviro.

But while there are thought to be no problems with regards the imminent announcement of the other five players, there is still a lingering case that involves the in demand striker Chivaviro. That is because, although his former side Marumo Gallants have announced that they have sold him to Chiefs, Richards Bay FC remain stedfast in their stance that the player signed a pre-contract agreement with them.

Gallants had long disputed that theory saying any other outside deals would have not been possible nor valid because they had already agreed to exercise a one-year extension on the contract of Chivaviro. But now, with the player set to legally begin life as a Chiefs player from today onwards, Richards Bay owner Jomo Biyela has come out fighting again with regards to this matter.
Richards Bay: Chivaviro is ours, not a Chiefs player.
“We have seen a statement, but as a club (Richards Bay) , we know our story. So, we will not get into any debate about him (Chivaviro), We have signed him for two years with an option.” Biyela said to Ukhozi FM.
