Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett believes Orlando Pirates loanee Boitumelo Radiopane can still score 10 goals for his side this season.
Spurs claimed their third consecutive win in all competitions on Friday, beating title chasers Hungry Lions by 1-0 curtesy of their leading goalscorer Ashley Cupido.
Radiopane came in as a substitute in the second half and changed the game as he gave the Lions defence a lot of problems at the back.
The former DStv Diski Challenge top goalscorer netted his first goal for the Urban Warriors last week during Nedbank Cup qualifiers, with his injury-time winner over AmaTuks to send Spurs into the round of 32.
His coach feels the young striker is on the right track after suffering several injury setbacks duering the first half of the campaign.
“It’s good, it’s nice to finally have him in the squad and on the field. He’s had a lot of niggles, injures since he came in July, coming from the national team,” Bartlett told iDiski Times.
“I know what talent he is, I know the ability he’s got. I’m looking forward for the next 18 games to see him more on the field. I think he’s got at least 10 goals in him.
“He’s got that ability, he’s got an eye for goal, which I think not many players in this league or in this country to be honest have.
“I’m looking forward to working with him for the next five months.”
