Bartlett Gives Injury Update On Radiopane

Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett has given an update on Boitumelo Radiopane after he picked up an injury in the 2-0 win over Platinum City Rovers.

Radiopane was substituted at the beginning of the second half after he picked up an and he was replaced by Therlo Moosa, while Cohen Stander was replaced by Asanele Velebhayi.

Both substitutes came to the party and Moosa opened the scoring for Spurs in the 69th minute despite playing with 10 man since Morne Neo got sent off after 30 minutes.

Just nine minutes later, second substitute Velebhayi finished a lovely cross from Ashley Cupido to make it 2-0.

After the Bartlett eased fears of a serious injury for Radiopane, saying they will manage him through the rest of the game as they’ve been doing throughout the season. 

“I think he just obviously [had] muscle spasm, it shouldn’t be too hectic,” Bartlett told iDiski Times.

“He worked quite a bit today aslone striker up front. So we will manage him like we’ve done in the last couple of months.

“But he plays a great part, a big part for us and [important] as far as our success in the title push is concerned.”

Cape Town Spurs moved back to the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship after Polokwane City dropped two points against JDR Stars, moving two points clear of their title rivals.
