Baroka FC have confirmed seven exits as they begin preparations for life in the GladAfrica Championship.

The club founded in 2007 first won promotion from the second-tier in 2016 after a fairytale rise up the South African football pyramid and after six seasons in the DStv Premiership, their stay ended after finished 16th in the past season.

Despite major investment into the squad after the Baroka Village headquarters, they found themselves back in the second tier and severe cost-cutting measures are now in place as they parted ways with seven players.

Vusi Sibiya, Elvis Chipezeze, Lungelo Nguse, Richard Mbulu, Mohau Bowali, Athenkosi Dlala, Augustine Mahlonoko, Nhlanhla Mgaga, and Thami Masiya will all leave the club ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Sibiya and Mgaga have already been snapped up by Stellenbosch FC, as previously reported by this website.
