Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka have announced the signing of Phumlani Ntshangase.
Ntshangase has been a free agent since leaving Maritzburg United at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old spent three seasons at the Team of Choice, having previously made a name for himself at Bidvest Wits, having broken into the side as a teenager during the 2013/2014 campaign. After 5 seasons at Wits he spent a year at SuperSport United, before joining Maritzburg in 2019.
Baroka were relegated from the DStv Premiership last season, and will be pushing to get promoted again under Vincent Kobola, who took over the head coach role towards the end of the last campaign.
Kobola and Ntshangase worked together for a brief spell when Kobola was assistant to Eric Tinkler at Maritzburg.
“Bakgaga Ga Mphahlele is happy to announce the signature of the former Maritzburg United F.C player Phumlani Ntshangase,” their statement said.
“He is a South African soccer player who played as a midfielder for Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United FC. He will bring experience to our team.
“Ntshangase worked with our head coach Vincent Kobola at Maritzburg United.”
