Bafana Bafana’s time at the COSAFA Cup is not over despite their defeat to Mozambique on Wednesday.
The young Bafana team coached by Helman Mkhalele failed to break down Mozambique’s defense and lost on penalties.
However, Bafana’s COSAFA Cup is not finished, as the national team now enters the 5th-8th place playoffs.

Bafana will next face Madagascar on Friday after they were beaten 2-0 by Namibia in Tuesday’s quarter-final.
The South Africans will then either play the winner or the loser of the match between Botswana and Eswatini, contesting either fifth place or seventh place.
Meanwhile, Mozambique will face Namibia in the semi-final, while Senegal will take on Zambia in the other semi-final.
