Despite the drama between Babes Wodumo’s family and the Gumede family, the death of Mampintsha’s mother left Babes Wodumo heartbroken. Babes Wodumo has joined Mzansi, paying tribute to her mother-in-law ZamaNguni Gumede.
ZamaNguni passed away on 15 January after suffering from a stroke and was hospitalized at Wentworth Hospital in Durban. Her daughter Pink Gumede confirmed the news to news reporters.
Babes Wodumo shared a condolence message on Mampintsha’s Facebook account, which she has been using since the death of her husband. Mampintsha’s widow posted a picture of ZamaNguni’s images complimented with an emotional message which reads:
“RIP, Gogo Ka sponge. Ungikhonzele kumnyeni Wami. Lala kahle, MaGumede,
The star is devastated by her mother’s inlaw death and shares her grieving on social media. Her fans came on her post and wished she would heal soon. A Facebook user commented:
I feel you, Babes Wodumo; you just lost your husband and now your mother inlaw. God works differently. Look how many years you haven’t been seeing with her eye to eye, now you have forgiven her and God decide to do his will. You are a person we can learn from Babes. Forgiveness is everything. Stay blessed dadewethu!!!
ZamaNguni had been sick for a while before her son passed away. However, her son’s death took a huge toll on her, which caused her stroke. She died at 64, and before her death, she said she would miss Sponge, her grandson.
Pink revealed to news reporters that her mother wanted to see Sponge before she died.
She called us at 10pm to come visit her at the hospital, me and my children. When we arrived she said she wanted to say her last goodbyes. She left us at 11pm.
She held our hands and gave us all a message. She said she was saying goodbye. Her last words to me were that I should look after the children and she will miss Mampintsha’s son
