Arthur Zwane has resigned as MK Party secretary general

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party faces internal turmoil as its secretary-general, Arthur Zwane, resigns just three weeks after assuming the position. In a letter addressed to former President Jacob Zuma, Zwane cited the overwhelming workload and competing business interests as reasons for his immediate departure.

Despite this setback, the party swiftly appointed Dr. Sifiso Maseko as the new interim secretary-general. Meanwhile, Zuma has also relieved the party’s Treasury General, Danisa Zulu, from her duties 1. The party’s leadership landscape remains dynamic, with frequent changes in key positions.
