Anele Mdoda has been crowned Mother of the Year as she surprises her son on his first day of resuming school.
The radio presenter made it known that combining her work with being a present mom at her son’s school is sometimes difficult.
However, work was made easy for her this year as she broadcasted her Breakfast show at her son’s school.
Hence, she could perform her duties as a mother and a presenter.
“I always miss Alakhe’s first day of school or I miss the show so I can attend his first day of school, this year… I said we won’t be missing any of the above. I came up with a master plan,” she wrote.

Alakhe goes to one of the most prestigious – and priciest – private schools in Gauteng.
According to the Reddam House site, Anele will be paying close to R150 per annum or around R13 000 per month to send her son to the school.
