Alleged drug dealer executed, KZN

An alleged drug dealer was reportedly shot dead shortly after leaving a bar on Wick Street in Verulam CBD, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). Warning: article consist of pictures that may be considered graphic to sensitive readers,

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) this incident occurred during the early parts of Saturday morning, 15 April.

THE DECEASED HAD AN OKAPI POCKET KNIFE WITH HIM

“Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on [the] scene at approximately 00:27 and discovered the unresponsive male lying on the pavement. He had an Okapi pocket knife with an exposed blade in his right hand,” said Rusa.

According to a witness who spoke with Rusa, the deceased was a drug dealer operating in the area.

A BMW STOPPED NEXT TO THE DECEASED, ONE PASSENGER GOT OUT AND SHOT THE MAN

The witness said that three men in a silver BMW stopped next to him (the deceased) shortly after he exited the bar.

One of the passengers exited the vehicle and shot the man once before they sped off.

“One spent 9mm cartridge was recovered at the scene,” said Rusa.
